St Leonards Kitchen
The brief for this kitchen was sustainable and functional, linking the laundry and scullery renovations in a simple and coherent way.
The house is located on the edge of the Otago Harbour with views of the water.
A reference to the water was proposed for the island and here is the result.
Sustainably sourced Southland Silver Beech is used on the Island and floating shelves with Poplar core Okume plywood carcasses with mitred corners.
Negative detail handles and slightly offset drawers. There is no MDF in this Kitchen. Drawers are made with 100% birch plywood with custom insert dividers.
Stainless steel benches were custom made in Invercargill by the very talented "Red" and fitted by me.
